Africa Biomass Company Joins CANSA Relay for Life in Support of Cancer Awareness
Africa Biomass Company proudly announces its participation in this year’s CANSA Relay for Life event at the Goudini Equestrian Centre in Rawsonville on the 3rd and 4th of February.
The past year has seen numerous members of our staff personally affected by cancer, either through their own diagnoses or the diagnoses of family members. In solidarity with those facing the challenges of cancer, Africa Biomass Company is taking an active role in supporting the fight against this disease.
As part of our commitment, we will showcase a specially painted pink woodchipper at the event. Attendees will have the opportunity to write the names of individuals affected by cancer on wood logs. These logs will then be processed through the chipper, and participants can take home a bag of wood chips as a symbol of solidarity and remembrance.
The CANSA Relay for Life is a fundraising initiative that brings together cancer survivors and the community to unite against cancer. Teams, consisting of 10 to 15 people, will establish team sites and take turns walking around the track. Walking through the night together is a symbolic way of walking with people with cancer through the darkest of their nights. The event provides an opportunity for team members to socialize, picnic, play games, dance, and engage in various enjoyable activities.
Africa Biomass Company encourages the public and companies to join in this meaningful event, supporting the fight against cancer and fostering a sense of community resilience.
Join us at the Route 43 expo at Aan de Doorns Cellar from the 25th to the 27th of February to view Warrior Tia’s pink woodchipper.
